PARENTING BLACK CHILDREN

OUR MISSION

The program PBC mission is to support the Black/African American family and those who love and care for children/persons with developmental disabilities. PBC mission is to CONNECT SUPPORT EDUCATE 2 EMPOWER families.



Parenting Black Children accomplishes its mission through three primary programing areas: 

  1. Parent Support - which include Wellness Checks, 1 on 1 support, and monthly support  groups and activities.  
  2. Community Outreach/Awareness Activities - physical outreach events, social media, community presentations. Monthly Resource Newsletter 
  3. Systemic Change/Diversity Awareness - Cultural Humility Workshops series, community presentations
